Earlier this year, NHS Alliance and NatPaCT asked their various networks for GPs, nurses, allied and other primary care professionals, and PCT leaders for examples of how good working relationships between PCTs and their clinicians are transforming health services for patients and the public.
This is the stunning result - a catalogue of success from over 100 Primary Care Trusts.
Can Do! is published by NHS Alliance with support from NatPaCT, as a print publication, a downloadable pdf, and here as an online resource, which you can browse, search and update with your PCTs achievements.
These are voluntary submissions, based on sheer enthusiasm, pride, public service commitment and a wish to show how clinicians in Primary Care Trusts are making a real difference. They provide inspiration, hope and practical examples to encourage clinicians and commissioners within every PCT to collaborate, innovate and improve services for their patients.
The importance of effective engagement with front-line clinicians in delivering the NHS reforms cannot be underestimated. This rich selection demonstrates that up and down the country clinicians from all professional groups are actively involved with their PCTs in strategic decision making, redesigning and improving services, ensuring good practice and improving local health.
